Finding relief from health anxiety

Health anxiety—sometimes called hypochondriasis or illness anxiety disorder—can make every ache or sensation feel like a warning sign. You might worry about getting a serious illness even when you feel fine, or find yourself Googling symptoms and seeking reassurance despite clear medical results.

I have worked with many people facing the same fears, and I can help you feel more at ease with your health, too.

FAQs

How do I know if I have health anxiety and not a real illness?
A thorough medical exam is the first step. If results are clear but you still can’t shake the fear of serious illness, you may be experiencing health anxiety. Therapy can help you break that cycle of worry.

How long does it take to see results from therapy for health anxiety?
Many clients notice changes within a few weeks of starting therapy, though lasting change often takes a few months of consistent work and practice.

Can you help if I’ve already tried therapy before?
Yes. I work with many people who have tried therapy without success. My approach blends proven methods like CBT and mindfulness with strategies tailored to your specific patterns, so you get tools that actually work for you.
